WHO WE ARE

The Exchange Club Center for Family Unity is a 501(c) 3 organization that has been helping families in Steele, Dodge, Freeborn, Rice and Waseca Counties for more than 35 years.  Our mission is to educate and support families and communities in the prevention of child abuse.  Our vision is to provide parents with the skills they need to be successful, loving, and nurturing parents while putting an end to the cycle of abuse.  We operate with a small staff, volunteers, and a non-paid “work- ing” Board that helps the Center operate with minimal administrative overhead.  Founded in 1984, the Center has helped thousands of families in the 5 county area through the programs we offer.

WHY PURCHASE A BUILDING

The Center has operated from leased facilities throughout its history.  Although we have flourished during this time, we believe the cycle of moving every few years and adapting to physical layouts that are normally less than ideal, has constrained growth. 

We have purchased a location in Owatonna that will give us greater visibility in the community and ample room to host family gatherings.  We look at it as “a new start” that will give us a stronger identity and the space to be a more effective organization.
